Salt Lake 5, Great Falls 2
GREAT FALLS – The Trappers, who have depended so much on their hitting this season, got a jewel of a pitching performance from Mike Humphrey Wednesday night in Great Falls. Humphrey scattered seven hits, struck out six, walk two and went the distance to leadSaltLaketo 5-2 victory.
With the game tied 1-1, the Trappers took the lead for good in the fifth when a Great Falls two-base error allowed Steve Scott and Anthony Blackmon to score. Salt Lake put the game away in the sixth when another Dodger error allowed Matt Huff to score for a 4-1 lead. A solo home run in the eighth put the Dodgers within two, but the Trappers got that run back when Blackmon scored on a wild pitch.
