Salt Lake 8 – Pocatello 5
Friday night at Derks Field the doomsday offense was unleashed on the Giants in the seventh inning for six runs – which was plenty to fuel an 8-5 come-from-behind victory in front of 3,416 spectators. Trailing 4-2 after 6 ½, pinch hitter Jim Ferguson started the rally with a one out triple. Anthony Blackmon knocked Ferguson in with a single. With two outs, Jon Leake legged out and infield hit and Frank Colston brought in a run with another. Adam Casillas blasted in two more with a second triple to right. Mike Malinak and Ferguson hit an RBI single and double to wrap up the fireworks.
